Getting to Know you was Annie Lesser's first immersive theatre piece that she wrote/produced/directed independently. The audience remained stationary as the actors rotated around them. Each actor goes through 9 defining moments in a single relationship treating each audience member as the same person, just at the next phase of the relationship. Allowing audience members to experience mini moments with different characters at progressive points in various relationships. Winner: Lumpy Cramp Spirit of The Fringe award.
